Who We Are

Sombat was founded in Ubon Ratchathani with a clear sense of purpose: to help families manage the legal side of inheritance and estate matters without added stress during already difficult times. The practice began serving the local community in the northeastern region of Thailand, where close family ties and a deep respect for elders make inheritance a deeply personal matter.

Our approach has always been the same — patient, clear, and centred on the people we're working with. We don't rush. We explain. We listen to what families actually need and shape our work around that, not the other way around.

Over the years we've handled hundreds of estate matters — from the straightforward to the genuinely complex — and each one has shaped how we work. We're not a large firm. We're a focused practice, and that's by choice.

Our Mission

To make the legal side of inheritance clear and manageable for every family we work with — with professionalism, warmth, and respect for each person's circumstances.

  • Continuity – Helping families carry forward the intentions of those they've lost.
  • Care – Every matter is handled as though it were our own family's.
  • Clarity – Straightforward language, no hidden steps, no unexplained delays.

Legal Support Rooted in Ubon Ratchathani

Inheritance law in Thailand involves a specific set of rules governing how assets pass between family members, how wills are recognised by the courts, and how estates are administered when someone passes away. Families in Ubon Ratchathani — and across the northeastern region — often deal with property, agricultural land, and shared family assets that require careful, knowledgeable handling.

At Sombat, we work within this legal framework every day. We understand the local court processes, the land registry requirements, and the family dynamics that make inheritance a sensitive matter. Our team has helped both larger families with multiple beneficiaries and individuals who simply want to set their own affairs in order well in advance.

We don't view legal services as something that should feel distant or inaccessible. Our office is here, in the community, and we speak plainly about what's involved, what it costs, and what to expect. That's the only way we know how to work.
