2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or engaging Sombat's services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the capacity to enter into a legal agreement. Use of this website constitutes acceptance of these terms.
3. Service Description
Sombat provides legal services in Thailand relating to inheritance and estate matters. Our three core services are estate and asset planning, inheritance dispute resolution, and estate administration. Services are available to clients located primarily within Ubon Ratchathani and the surrounding northeastern Thailand region, though we may assist clients elsewhere on a case-by-case basis.
This website provides general information about our services. Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice specific to your circumstances. Legal advice is only provided following a formal engagement.
4. Engaging Our Services
4.1 How an Engagement Begins
An engagement begins when we confirm in writing that we will act for you, having discussed the scope and fees involved. Submitting a contact form or making an initial enquiry does not by itself create a legal services agreement.
4.2 Scope of Work
The scope of any engagement will be agreed and documented before work begins. Any material changes to scope will be discussed and agreed with you before being implemented.
4.3 Your Responsibilities
To enable us to assist you effectively, you agree to provide accurate and complete information as requested, respond to communications in a timely manner, and notify us promptly of any changes to your circumstances that may affect the matter.
5. Fees and Payment
Fees for our services are stated on our website and discussed with you before any engagement. All fees are quoted in Thai Baht (฿). We reserve the right to adjust fees where the complexity of a matter differs materially from what was initially discussed — in which case we will notify you before proceeding.
Payment terms and methods will be agreed at the start of each engagement. We do not charge for initial conversations or enquiries.
6. Confidentiality
All information shared with us in the course of a legal matter is subject to legal professional privilege and our confidentiality obligations under Thai law. We will not disclose your information to third parties except as required to carry out your matter or as required by law.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, structure, and design, belongs to Sombat. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Reproduction for commercial purposes or use without written permission is not permitted.
8. Disclaimers
Information on this website is provided for general awareness only and does not constitute legal advice. Outcomes in legal matters depend on individual circumstances and cannot be determined in advance. We do not make any representation about what the outcome of a legal matter will be.
We take care to keep the information on this website accurate, but we do not warrant that it is complete or current at all times.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Thai law, Sombat's liability to you in connection with the use of this website (excluding formal legal services engagements, which are governed by separate engagement terms) is limited to the resupply of the relevant information or services. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from use of this website.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate a legal services engagement by providing written notice. Upon termination, any outstanding fees for work completed will become payable. We will provide you with all documents and information to which you are entitled. Certain obligations — including confidentiality — survive termination.
11. Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. In the event of any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our services, we encourage you to contact us first to seek resolution informally. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ubon Ratchathani Province.
12. General
- Entire agreement: These terms, together with any engagement letter or scope agreement, form the entire agreement between us in relation to website use.
- Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Notices: Formal notices should be directed to the contact email below.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website following a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
